I didnt want to leave it at home... besides I'm a member of a gun club about 20-30 minutes away so when i get a chance I go shooting. Its a great way to relieve stress when you get really stressed by school.
 
So I take it that's a real gun then, and not a airsoft version or replica?

if it's real, I have this other question... Why have it by your computer and not locked up? :eek:

So while I'm back in college (I go to the University of Portland), I got to move into the new University owned apartment like places. They are very nice, the place I'm at houses 7 people but I only have 5 roommates. It has a laundry area, kitchen, living room, and 2 bathrooms.

From the looks of the room, I would say it looks very manly, execpt for the two pocketbooks on the wall......

Anyways, with that much effort you put into the posters and whatnot, I'm sure you're really happy with it. Enjoy it, and good luck in college.
 
huh? Well I did work at a Regal Cinemas (where I got the free movie posters) over the summer and I go to lan parties (where I get more free posters). It isn't like everyone can see the posters so I don't exactly advertise them.

I'm very much a tomboy at heart but have slowly progressed to being more feminine. Which is why I have the purses on the wall.
 
i was wondering if that was a boy's room or a girl's. i didn't see the pocket books and was wondering what guy would put up rent and matchpoint posters ;)
 
this makes me excited to get back to school (next week) not to set up my room but to see everyone from last year and not to live at home :D

Well I used to be in the Air Force ROTC. Quit it last year but I might still be doing the drill team for fun so I brought some of my stuff from ROTC back.
 
I just moved in a couple days ago. And yes, I know that I need to move my speakers; I need a larger desk first though.

Hey if you wanted a tv you could put it on top of the fridge! Also, how do you like living in a part red brick place? Is it cold where you go to school? Where do you go to school? lol

Nice setup though. I like the little couch under the bed :)
 
I have an external tv tuner that hooks up to my monitor so I don't really need a dedicated tv. I love the part brick--it kind of adds a modern/missionary style to the room that I really like.

I go to MIT, so it does get cold, but it's not right now.

I'm planning a major in EE/CS (Course 6 in MIT lingo). If you meant why did I pick MIT, that's a much longer answer. Give me a PM if you'd like.

Looking back at when I lived in the dorms, i am glad I did not live in a single. It always ended up being the guys in singles that were loners or did not hang out with anyone, basically hermits. I am not saying there is anything wrong with you but it is just something I noticed.

You do have a tight room though :D

Damn, MIT, that is a good school, bunch of very smart people there.

Who knows, I might end up going to MIT for grad school, if I meet their standards though. :D

Nope, that's fine, thanks :) I've still a few schools I'm looking at, and the list keeps getting narrowed down as I go, but MIT's still on it.

I would have loved to have a single when I was a freshmen....avoid the whole projectile vomit all over the floor thing....
 
dang, we got some nice setups here. I have to clean my room so i can get my new one up...

and about avoiding the whole projectile vomit thing, that's part of being a freshman :)

my roomate walked in on me and a girl at least twice a week in college, I woulda killed for a single too

Brought the bulk of my audio equipment and computer equipment. ^_^
All in all I'm happy with the way it turned out. I can live with this for a year.

what where your grades like in highschool, id love to go there but i daoubt id ever get eccepted with my 3.0 :(
 
Isn't MIT one of the harder schools to get into?

The one on the right is my main computer, The one on the left is my server, and the one in the middle is just a belkin UPS.
 
anyone one here go to chapman? i have frineds that go there and damn is there new dormitory nice. my frinds dorm is nicer then his room at home tenfold
