RAPID mode utilizes up to 1GB of system DRAM as a cache for frequently-accessed data ("hot" data) to increase performance.

If you wanna get results and comparisons get real and remove the RAPID mode.

I leave rapid mode on...why would i turn it off? It's not like i only use it for benchmarks only and then turn it off...Why would i intentionally downgrade its performance?

Time to replace these 3ks. Got them for $65 a piece, but they make me miss my m4.

I'm shopping now for a 240-256 drive.

Edit. Just ran it under 8.1 with the z87. It's faster than it was with a p67.

One little trick i learned was to make a windows image backup, boot up with parted magic, do a enhanced secure erase on the ssd, then load the win image back on to it....i usually get about a 10% improvement if i haven't done it in a long while...worth a try if the performance has dropped a fare amount since it was brand new. Course i'm betting this is old news to most you guys:)

Because it doesn't represent the true performance of the drive?
