Looks very nice;) Did you put the fans on the 360 because it was overheating?

nah, its just that I had 3 xbox 360's overheat on me so i'm kinda paranoid.

hahah i am on number 2. Sorry about laughing but i have 2 fans as well next to mine. My GF thinks I am going crazy but I do not want to send in number three.

Me too.

Two more fans on the back as well that draw air out. The two on the side blow air in. The 120mm cools the power brick (which gets hot too)

How do you guys do that with the 360, the whole comupter fan thing? Like how do u give power to the fan is basically what im confused about?

Uh...magic, duh:p
But really, I don't know either. Mabye some kind of usb adapter?

it has something to do with hotwiring the fan to the psu and making a small or short circuit. I think you do it the same way that you test-run a wcing kit before installing it inside your pc

Well, my set up has been seen a million times...but, just for fun, here you go:

OMFG!! That looks AWESOME!!!:) How did you pay for all that stuff?

I wired the fans to a standard 5.25" bay fan controller, made a custom enclosure for that, and then hooked that up to a standard 250w computer power supply. I hotwired the power supply to run without a motherboard by creating a short circuit on the main 20pin connector.

It works well. The fan controller is right behind the receiver, sitting on top of the box that houses the power supply.

If you are worried about head why do you have you 360 and dvd player sitting on top of a reciever? That could have somting to do with your 3 overheating 360s.

why is there an outlet on your screen

When I watch the Matrix...I can jack straight in ;) The outlet is gone now.

why do you have 4 360's?
It is all work related. I only have the three right now, I sent one of the originals to Kyle...dunno why I kept the box, other than it makes a very nice stand for the TV. As for WHY so many, see the reason below**

With teh monies! It is my job so I can justify the expense...it still doesn't lessen the blow, but I can justify it.

**We have the office here set up in three separate workstations. Each workstation has:

A PC, Xbox, GC, DS, PSP, PS2, Xbox 360

The Wii and the PS3 are hooked to the HDTV (the PS3 hooks to the projector as well)

Each workstation can connect to either the HDTV, the PC monitor or the HD projector.

So, at any given time, we can have five different consoles going at the same time doing different stuff or working together on multiplayer stuff. The couch - big screen also act as a home theater area to boot.

I wasn't the guy with 3 overheating 360s. My 360 stays so unbelievably cool that I haven't had a single hard lockup with it...ever. It's been running without a hitch ever since I got it.

The receiver is 5 years old and puts out NO heat at all. The DVD player stays cool as well. Not to mention, the components are in my basement, which is cool in the first place.

why is there so many people with fans on there xboxs im sure it doesn't get hot enough to lock up while in game

I'm just an overly cautious individual by default. Without the fans, the 360 shoots out some very hot air out the back....with the fans, the air that comes out is normal, at ambient temperature. I'm a lot more comfortable knowing that all the heat is being quickly dispelled (instead of being built up inside the console, around all the components)

Very nice. The wii looks surprisingly sharp for 480p (assuming you even bought the component cables)

Thanks, and yes, I am using component cables for the wii.

How much of a difference do you think the component/s-video would make on an ED Tube? I have a 37" Wega that looks pretty good with the composite but I would like to get the best pic possible, though the composite arent bad.

Everyone says that s-video is far superior to composite cables. But, I have found it not to make much of a difference on ED tube tvs. I have not tried the wii w/ s-video on my tube but I have tried monster s-video cables w/ my regular xbox on my tube and I didn't see much of a difference. I would say try the components though if the tv accepts it. You can always return the cable if you don't think it is worth it.

It all depends on the quality of the comb filter(s) in your TV. If you have a great comb filter, you won't see much difference between composite and s-video.

Also, some tv's handle composite very well and others don't. With an edtv, I would say that the s-video cable probably wouldn't make much of a difference. You would be better of buying component cables.

I've got the s-video cables for the wii on an sd tv and the difference between that and composite is HUGE! The colors are much more vibrant, everything is way sharper, and it's not washed out like composite cables are. I also have the component cables on a hd tv and the difference between composite and s-video is much larger than the difference between s-video and component.

This just goes to show that it all depends on your display and how it handles different cables.

yeah, I was disappointed the Wii only came with a composite cable but I was literally ASTOUNDED that the PS3 came with one. After touting all the high-def gaming, Blu-ray, etc. etc. and then shipping with a el-cheapo composite (very low quality too).

Back on topic, let's see some more set ups!

360 goes to the 22" lcd over vga + use the full surround

PS2/Cube go to the TV with just the tv sound (no real reason for more from what I've seen from ps2/cube offerings)

OKay... i'm kind of confused. I see 3 Xbox 360s (but I see 4 boxes), and two regular Xboxes... why? lol
Now... obviously money's not a issue with you... so my next question would be, how old are you?

As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet more than half of those consoles aren't connected or plugged in. One reasoning would be the wiring from the top shelves among other things.

I also noticed something wrong here. There is a considerable difference between the computer in picture number 3 and 4,5. On 3 I see two ATI cards in a crossfire setup, and in 4 and 5 I see one ATI card. My mistake they must have been taken at didfferent times. Oops.... lmao

Just finished buliding a riser for the second couch in my theater setup and picked up a 37" Olevia on Friday to complete everything.

Going eventually add a bar/countertop off of the back of the riser, just didn't have time to get it done in time for the game tonight.

And yes, I know there is a rat's nest behind the entertainment center. :D

Seriously.. go to Home Depot and buy that sticky wire hider which is long and cheap, and white in color. You will thank me. That looks pretty ugly the way the black wires are exposed like that.

Hehe. Look at the name of the person who posted those pics closely and I think you will figure out the "why". ;)
