I've just put together a new computer with the following specs:

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 330R
CPU: Core i7 4770
Mobo: AsRock Z87 Pro3
PSU: Corsair RM450
GPU: EVGA GeForce GT 630 2GB
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 32GB kit

There's also one hard drive a Wifi card and some other minor stuff. The problem is the following and it persists even when using the integrated graphics, one RAM stick, and no other parts:

If I push the power button, the fans spin for around 2-5 seconds, just enough to see the BIOS print something to the screen. After this the PSU clicks and the machine shuts itself down. However, around once in 20 tries, the machine stays on. I managed to install Fedora Linux on it and I'm typing this message on the new build. To summarize, the machine almost never boots, but if it does, then it works flawlessly.

Never had such a problem before. Ideas?

Try a different PSU. The boot issue you've described can be caused by a bad PSU, motherboard, or RAM.
