Possible problem with PSU

So I've finally got my new rig up and running:

I7 920 @ 4.2ghz
Evga X58
6gb 1600 corsair memory
evga gtx 280
xfi
2x optical drive
2x intel x-25m g2

I'm currently using a OCZ 600W psu (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341010) and I feel like this might be causing the following problem:

During computer use I'll occasionally have an issue where my computer screen turns completely green or pink.

I'm going on a whim here but I think it's my BS power supply as It was a hand me down from a friend who gave it to me for free. Would a weak power supply such as this cause these such problems? And if so what PSU would you recommend for this setup? Quietness is also a plus as I hate a noisy psu.

Video display issues are more indicative of a video card issue than a PSU problem, especially if this is occurring at random and not just when the system is under load (I am assuming this is the case based on your first post). Nevertheless, a better PSU certainly wouldn't be a bad idea. I would go with the Corsair VX550, which was already recommended to you. It's the best bang for the buck on Newegg for a system like yours.
 
I had a similar issue with my silverstone strider.
When I was using it, all of a sudden the screen went red.
I shut it off restarted, 5 minutes it was fine, than went green
I restarted and it worked for a minute, than shut off
Than it refused to boot
I checked the output of the power supply and I was getting 1.4-2.5V out of the 12V end of the MOLEX.
Everything else in my system works, they have all been tested.
So I sent my power supply back to silverstone. That is my third failed silverstone, I know I am never buying from them again.

My replacement delta power supply is really nice.

anyways, check the voltages out of your power supply with a meter and see what you get. If they fluctuate, or cut out, than the power supply is the problem.

I think I like the corsairs but what's the difference between the tx and hx? The HX seem to be more expensive. I don't need anything that's uber power I just don't want to skimp on something that provides power to my entire system.

HX is Corsair's high-end and modular PSU line. TX is Corsair's best bang for the buck PSU line. Either line would be a good choice.
 
When you say high end what exactly extra does the hx provide the tx doesn't?

Obviously being modular but what else. I just want to put a solid PSU in my machine.

Better efficiency, voltage regulation, and ripple suppression. Not really things that you need to worry too much about as long as they are within specification, which they are with all of Corsair's PSUs.
