Pornhub’s first-ever fashion retail store has debuted at 70 Wooster Street in SoHo, Manhattan, where sex toys, handcuffs, books, and fancy clothes are on show. Shoppers must be 18 or older to walk through it. The raunchy space includes a bed “where people are invited to sit and interact with the camera on a live-feed streaming onto Pornhub.com directly.”
A big screen was visible across the back of the store Thursday night, flashing erotic still images from porn films that then dissolve into the Pornhub logo. Irene Richard, 68, from the Upper West Side, said she was “perturbed” to see smut in SoHo. It evoked memories for her of sleazy Times Square before new zoning laws put sex shops out of business in the mid-’90s. “I’m not so happy,” Richard said. But she also said the popup storefront appeared to be a far cry from the shady days of Times Square.
