I have Logitech Z-5500's but this also happened with my old harmon kardon 2.1's. Whenever i turn on the lights in my room or the fan in the bathroom(right next to my room) and the speakers are on, they make a pop noise. It is really aggrivating but it does not seem to damage the speakers. Any thoughts?

the lights and fan are on the same circuit as the speakers.. try plugging it into a different jack or you could get a UPS or surge suppressor with a filter.

try living in a dorm and running 3 comps a tv and a power hungery stereo
