Points Spike???

Anyone notice all of a sudden their Fahsphy or Fahmon showing a lot of points that appear to be from nowhere? I've been avg 100-110k, Last night and this morning I looked and I'm showing 135k...

I was like um WTF... in both senses of the abbreviation... anyone else notice this?

I'm not seeing any changes in FaHSpy locally. I'm away on Biz and don't have ready access to my home machine to check it out.

I am noticing some weird point accruals from last night and need to investigate

My FAHmon is all over the place the past week or two. Don't know if it's the WU's changing values (appears so given the rash of "new" project #'s) or if I'm having issues with slow reporting formt eh various pc's. Troubles the other day with connecting to Standford is the only variable I've not answered yet.

At 6:30am today I didn't notice anything unusual as I checked on FAHmon as I was leaving for work. I have just been notcing that Kendrak keeps getting more and more ppd....that might be due to his influx of GX2's

I get some realy good points when I get a A2 on my naked boxen running notfreds. I'm talking 5k per client (2 per OC-ed q6600)

Yeh that is what I meant, I do spike to 6k sometimes if I get realy good WUs

yeah mines all over the place as well been avg 5200 PPD on my 8800GT.. then yesterday it was up to 5600 PPD.. now im back to 5200..

Yeah 400 x 17, and some of mine are GTXs and better. So maybe that is the 10-24k ponit variance I am seeing... Its just odd...

If you were running Linux SMP clients the difference could be explained by the A2 core units. I gain 500-800 per 2 core client on my quads. The 500 is from the VMs on my main system running at 3.6Ghz and doesn't gain as much because of the GPU client running on it as well as it being my daily use machine.

Another quad running at 3.4Ghz gains 800PPD while my other quad@3.6Ghz gains 600-800PPD depending on the mix of work units running. The folding only quad@3.6 will do over 6k PPD with two of the A2 core work units.

Currently, my main machine is doing 5700PPD with dual VMs running A2s and a bit over 5100PPD with the 8800GT. The 3.4Ghz quad is doing a bit over 4800PPD with an A2 and an A1 2605. The quad@3.6 is doing 5300PPD with an A2 and A1 2605.

At a conservative estimate, the A2 core work units are giving me about 2800PPD more than if all the clients had the 2605s.

I just checked my PPD stats, and they have jumped up recently. As far as I know,
I've not added any boxen. Perhaps they modified the points for the cpu client? Or
maybe a high roller is feeling sorry for me getting mowed over so often...

I've found the culprit at times it seems the GPU client on a couple of my boxes Spikes ot 15.5k PPD from an 8800GT... Not sure why, but that would definitely explain it. I managed to see it this morning!
