yeah i have a 500 watt antec, and on the back it has a little red thing and on it it says 12V or 15 V what is that about/ please bare with me . thanks alot... i left it at 12v should i use 15? i dont wanna burn it , thats why i dont mess wid it

my specs are

Intel 2.6 ghz
2 gigs of ram
bfg nvidia 7600 gs oc stocked
antec 500 watt

I have a 500W Antec SmartPower, and the only red thing I see on the back is the voltage selection switch, between the AC cord receptacle and the on-off switch. This red voltage selection switch is labelled "115 230", to indicate 115VAC or 230VAC, but the way the sheet metal is cut out, the markings are obscured, so you may see only "15" in the middle when the switch is set for 115VAC, which is the proper voltage for North America. But I don't know how you're seeing "12" because when I flip this switch the other way, I see "23".

i read that FAQs and i couldnt understand anything... foreals im like too high to understand anything righ now. can someone sumarrize for me? appreciate it.

these are my system specs

Nvidia 7800 GS OC stocked
2 Gigs of ram
Intel p4 2.6 ghz

i had an old psu.. the one that came with my computer and that shit burnt out. and i dont want this one to burn out too..so should i change it to the highest one?

yeah 115 and 230 my bad..
so i should just leave it at 115 than? or 230? i dont want it to burn out again foreals..ill be very piss

What do you think flipping it could possibly do that's good?

Keep it at 115 unless you feel the need to burn up your computer.

DO NOT TOUCH THAT SWITCH.
You set it to 230 you'll hear a nice popping sound and most likely fry your PSU (if you're lucky, only your PSU).
Thats for input voltage, its should be 115 in ALL of the US.

Your question has been answered though given the circumstances I am not so sure I would have been as generous.

As for your title
