Please help me pick new processor...

Here's my build:

ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 AMD Motherboard

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz

GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 

CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Basically after much troubleshooting i've begun to RMA parts. I've already RMA'd the mobo--that wasn't it. So i sent in my processor for RMA. Newegg gave me a refund and discontinued my proc. *sigh* this has been the build from hell.

Can someone please help me recommend a replacement processor that i can buy which will fit into my build above? My assumption is that i'll just have to pay 20 extra bucks for the marginally better 630... is that what you'd do?

PS: at least newegg has some decency--called customer support and told them what happened--they at least gave me back my combo discount.

The AMD Athlon II X4 640 should be around the same price as the 630 or 635

On NewEgg, the 640 is the same price as the 635.

But how much are you willing to spend on the processor?

Well, i'd picked the most budget 4-core i could find which i thought would meet my needs, but considering what has happened and the fact that it's 7 dollars difference between 630 and 640 as you guys brought to my attention, i think i'll drop the 100 bucks on the 640. Cheers guys
