Yeah....since you asked:

1. Drop the request for free cash (joking or not its a violation of this forums rules (#13)

2. Alot of people dont care about your problems. They just want a good deal on solid items. Drop the pic of you and your future wife and instead post a couple pics of the items you are selling.<<< If you took any business classes you gotta know pictures grab attention when it comes to selling things.

I ended up with a 1.25CT H-VVS1 Round Brilliant in a very heavy PT950 setting that scored well below 1 on the holloway cut advisor (which puts in in the top .005 of all diamonds in the world for light properties) for $6300. The next closest price I found that wasn't even close to the light properties that matched all the other characteristics was $8500.

Bump for the GDM-FW900. I've got the HP OEM version. Let me just say there's nothing quite like HL2 at 2304x1440. I might well have made an offer on it if I'd seen this one before I snagged on from eBay a few months back.

BUMP.
@ JL, Besides the Rule # 13 being broken, you have just been a troll!
JL I don't understand that about you.
You seem like your a good guy but when someone makes a thread that you don't agree with you just Troll the life out of it.

You points are made; is there a reason for all the negitivity?
If your not trying to be so Negitive, reread your posts and you should be able to pick up on the things that come across as a downer.

@ Zefram, Good luck with the Girl!

That brings up an important point.

My fiancee is kinda frugal, and didn't really care about the ring. She woulda liked diamond, but she felt it was a huge waste of money. She wanted me to get something called "asha" (http://betterthandiamond.com/) because it looked exactly like a diamond, even from up-close. To make a long story short, I actually considered it, and checked it out. It did look pretty impressive. But not fake, like zirconia or whatever it is. Although, I actually ended up getting a real diamond, cause I inherited it from a relative (But she never knew that).

So what's the point of spending nearly 10K for something that only sits on a finger, when you can better invest the money for your (and her) future? You can put the several thousands of dollars you save and buy your woman something more useful, or do what I did, and put it towards a new house. I'm not saying I'm against diamond rings, but I just can't fathom the cost it is for something so ... useless.

And it has nothing to do with the fact that you're willing to spend a lot of money on your fiancee. That should never be an issue!

How long have you been Married? Going frugal on Ring (about $3k) eventually got back to me on our 5th anniversary with $10k ring.... I just hope trend doesn't continue...
Free BUMP.

You were giving me shit earlier about thread crapping. You hypocrite.

The picture of the thread starter and his future wife seemed to grab my attention. He sold us a story, and it touched me, did it not to you?

Free bump, and good luck getting this stuff sold :)

bump for a guy who also wants to get engaged soon. :D

btw, maybe you wouldn't have such a hard time buying food or what not if you didn't buy so many pairs of shoes as i see in the background. :p

lollers... I have 3 pairs of shoes. That was a picture of when we were in Philly. She loves shoes and so does her other two former roommates. :D

Mo Bumpage for a guy who was smart enough to get his shiz together and move beyond his pc and his parent's basement.

FYI, I was looking for a cpu, and found the pic and story out of place and INTERESTING, rather than the normal quick scan for item and dollar amount. It was part of why I bought something I really didn't need at the time. I remember when I met my wife and we were trying to get our feet under us...

I wish you the best of luck, and I think your right on about not dropping obscene amounts into expensive gifts (diamond rings) and weddings. When your young and committed, there are so many more important financial needs, like homes and transportation. And it makes it all the sweeter when you can give her that $10K rock years later because she stuck with your pimply azz when you were 20 something and still living in your parents basement :)

When we got engaged, the rock that I bought my wife cost me 900.00. Guess what?? She lost the damn thing. Now, she has no rock at all. It doesn't really matter to me or her really. It's just a material item to us.

Here's a bump, and good luck with everything man..

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I love Hard forums... you guys are the best... always willing to help out... even when it's just for computer questions or what not. One of the best forums around.
