I just got myself a new core i7 rig now overclocked and running stable. The problem I am having is that I have popping sound while in game!! I changed up all the drivers and NOTHING seems to be working.

Mobo: Gigabyte x58-udr 3 (popping sound using the onboard Sound card OR using HDMI out from graphics card)
Core i7 930, sound popped even without the overclock
Nvida SLI 460
SSD kingston MLC 30 gig for my os
2gig HD
4 gigs of DDR3 1600mhz(all passed memtest 86)

I am now wondering if it's the SSD drive. I turned page file off and nothing, nothing seems to help. Also I am getting a once in awhile stuttering.

About to install the OS onto another drive just to see if it's the SSD causing it. What do you guys think?

The sound pops really badly and consistently in BFBC2, it sometimes pop during League of legends. I am sure it's a "out of something" issue because my cpu load is no where near maxed out. Also the pops can come just web browsing (while playing pandora) and it usually lasts for about 20-40 seconds then disappears for a hour or two. However, when playing BFBC2, the pop is almost continuous. Also during the pop, my ram is also not maxed (usually half way).

I really don't think it has anything to do with your drive. Do a search for eliminating static from sound card.
