So i need to buy new computer. One i'm currently typing on. Compaq presario bought at walmart 2003 on sale 399 with monitor. It freezes up all the time doesn't like webpages with adds. Its just about done. Hell sometimes it takes 5 minutes just to pull up ie. Here is my question. I only use computer for internet surfing and wordprocessing and have a 6 year old nephew who comes over occasionally and i like find a website where he can play free games on. I found two computers i like. Both are in stock at my local staples and my local Best buy. Can you computer smart guys just take a look and tell me which one i should buy. There is a price difference. But the specs look pretty much the same. But i'm not computer smart like you. Just 47 and never grew up on computers here are the two links. PLEASE TELL ME WHICH IS THE BETTER DEAL AND I WILL BE GREATFULL. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIME AND TROUBLE.

The HP from Staples is the better deal.

Especially since it has been discounted to $450 plus tax yet comes with a slightly faster CPU. That HP sold at Best Buy sells at its regular price of $530 plus tax, yet comes with only an X4 630 CPU (the Staples HP comes with an X4 635).

free games = computer virus.

Why would someone have a website with free games. Someone's gotta pay for the bandwidth, server hosting, development, etc. They have ads to pay the bills, but lots of times it's computer viruses, drive by downloads...

to be honest your current system probably has a lot of trojans/spyware installed. You can probably clean it up for free. Otherwise no reason IE should not open instantly. i'd try that before upgrading. Lots of help to be found on these forums. Free downloads that can help, spybot search and destroy, lavasoft adaware, etc.
