Please critique my new rig

I've been lurking here a little while and tried to cobble together advice from other similar build requests, but before I pulled the trigger I just wanted a quick critique.

My answers:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming (EVE Online, Civ5, Skyrim, Diablo 3), web browsing, DVD ripping, home media server
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1,000 - $1,300 - somewhat flexible, if I can "futureproof" this thing for another ~$100 or so, and don't need to include OS in this price
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

More or less copied the build from post #11 on this thread minus the overclocking and with a few other tweaks. Just looking to hear if I'm way overpaying for anything I shouldn't be or if there are any current package deals I'm not aware of. Thanks in advance!

Since you live in California, I recommend buying as much of your parts as possible from Amazon.com as they do not charge CA residents sales tax.

Drop the CPU down to the Core i5 2400 since you're not overclocking:
$190 - Intel Core i5-2400 CPU

I recommend this RAM instead:
$39 - Kingston Hyper KHX1333C9D3B1K2/8G 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM

The video card, case, and PSU can be found at Amazon.com:
$90 - Corsair 650TX V2 650W PSU
$100 - Corsair Carbide Series 400R ATX Case

A differently named version of that SSD can be found on Amazon as well:
$163 - Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SSD

From what you've told us, it sounds like you really don't need that motherboard. You should be fine with this:
$118 - Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Intel Z68 ATX Motherboard

Grab the hard drive and blu-ray drive from Newegg.

Thanks for the advice! With the $25 coupon for the M4 and the Amazon savings on sales tax I got this shipped for $0.48 less than the pre-tax/shipping price. Can't wait to put it all together!

BigJayDogg3 is correct I think I saw the M4 having a coupon. and there was 1 on the sales thread but that got snap pretty quickly

I 100% agree with Danny Bui for sales tax, see what is cheaper (with taxes and shipping in) via: amazon/newegg/whatever else you use. when I did my build, I used 3 sites and was able to save enough to pay for a few "upgrades"
