Hello everyone,

It's time for me to update my computer as my motherboard recently went out. I was running a q6600, 8800gt, with 4gig of ram.

I will be using hard drive and psu from the other computer; everything else will be new.

==CPU / MOBO combo==
-Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500
-ASUS P8H67-M LX (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel H67 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

(combo deal from new egg) = 273.98

==Memory==
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL = 84.99

==Video Card==
ASUS ENGTX560 DCII TOP/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card = 219.99

Total is ~600$

I will not be doing any over clocking. Mostly a lot of gaming/casting/mult-tasking stuff.

Please let me know if there are parts I should re-consider or what not, thanks!
 
What are you planning on using the computer for? If you said a low-end PS build, then this looks okay with me, you might be able to find cheaper RAM but it wouldn't be a huge difference. It'd be best if you answered the sticky found here.

depending on which you want more of, casting/gaming, I'd consider a 6950 1GB. Other than that, the build looks solid.
 
Why do you want an H67 motherboard for gaming? You should get P67 or Z68!

Yeah, you might be OK with that combo if you won't be doing any overclocking at all.

If are you 100% convinced on this combo, get an AMD video card. AMD cards are a much better choice if you are not overclocking. I read recently that the Nvidia cards are HIGHLY limited by the CPU.
 
I replaced the GTX560 with this
FX HD-695X-ZNFC Radeon HD 6950 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity = 239$ with 30$ MIR
 
If you can swing it, grab a 2gb model of the 6950. Shouldn't be more than 30-40 more. But, the gains you can get from the increased shader count are well worth it imo.

My thoughts exactly. The real advantage of H67 is not having to buy a video card and thus making the build cheaper.
