For a Q6600 and basic DDR2-800 memory.

1) Q6600 @ 3.36GHz + memory @ 820mhz

2) Q6600 @ 3.50 Ghz + memory @ 777mhz

for gaming purposes only.

If you can run tighter timings with the mem at 777Mhz... it will probably have a bit higher throughput than stock settings at 820Mhz.

But.. you should be able to overclock that memory.. even if it is just basic stuff.

As for the throughput at stock timings... 820 would be faster.

See what my DDR400 is running at in my sig.

I'd take number two especially if it had 3-3-3 timings.

If they both have 4-4-4 timings, then I might as well do number one.

Memory is 5-6-6-18 and need to stay that way. No stability at anything better than that.

Maximum is also @ 820 mhz for the memory.

Didn't try overvolting the memory and don't want to.
