Played the PS3 today

All the while the underlying debate rages on....NVIDIA graphics vs ATi graphics...the only difference is that this time they are in a console.

I will agree with you that when I moved from a PS2 to a Xbox360 I was blown away with the difference in image quality (unfortunately the initial games I got didn't quite hook me, I played Kameo for a while, but didn't really get into the system till I picked up BF2). I am still more interested in the PS3 because of Sony's track-record for having the most and best RPGs (I played Oblivion, hated it, but I might pick up some of the others to see if they are better).

Interestingly enough I was at a Best Buy today to pick up some computer speakers (saw some Logitech 2300s at Office Depot, then some Promedia 2.1s at Best Buy, decided to give the Promedias a try, not sure if I really like them yet, my Infinity Modulus + 12" Inifinity sub sounded better and cleaner, and these things are ungodly bright, but I am looking at one hell of a wiring and set-up mess to run speaker/stereo-audio/subwoofer cables to my reciever/sub/comp-satellites and back from the dining room (where my computer unfortunately has to reside now due to a bedroom too small to support my desk) since my girlfriend apparently doesn't deem and kind of cables running across the floor to be acceptable). Anyway, they had a Wii, Xbox360, and PS2 set up for play. There was one guy playing Madden on the X360, and a big crowd playing Guitar Hero 2 with the guitar attachment on the PS2, no one was around the Wii display.
 
I played it today too for about 5 min untill it overheated. I did play Motorstorm which didn't impress me although fun to play. I was disappointed that i couldn't play it for more then 5 min or it would shut off.
