get the game and enjoy it.. even at lowest settings and 640x480 you will probably enjoy it.. but i think with that card you might be able to pull of 800x600Fissioner said:I'm not really a PC gamer and don't have the budget for an alienware. I am going to mostly use my notebook for work and wireless networking, its just that this game caught my eye

oh i thought 9000 was start of dx9 seriesKevC said:9000 is slower than the 8500. So he might have some trouble. And it's DX8 last I checked. But that shouldn't matter with such a slow GPU anyway.
forgot about that /me wasnt thinking straight *begins banging his head on the wall* yes a radeon of such a low modle number would blow for opengl.. a lot of nvidia cards run opengl better then even 9800^eMpTy^ said:No way man. First off Doom3 isn't DirectX, it's OpenGL, so it doesn't really matter if the 9000 is DX8.1 or DX9.
That 9000 will drag the whole system down. If you're looking to buy something to run Doom3 on I would NOT buy this laptop. Look for something with the same specs except a MUCH better video card.
