Been reading this forum section for a while now, decided to buy a physx card and contribute to this forum with this small list maybe you guys have other titles I do not own so feel free to add yours to this small list.Thank you!

+ = HW support

Support hardware and software acceleration, don't think I need to say more about this one :D

+GRAW http://www.ghostrecon.com/us/ghostrecon3/index.php
Subtle hardware physx effects, personally I like the fact that just about any dev could add effects, I mean not every titles need heavy physics engine. For example a racing game could have extra physx options to add more sparks and have them bouncing with particules.

+GRAW 2 http://ghostrecon.uk.ubi.com/
Uses physx engine for physic, unlike previous version this time the engine will not sit on top on havoc, supposed to be utilised from the ground up.Public beta is available.

+B.O.S Blood Sport http://www.bos-game.com/news.html
Nice FPS not your UT2K4 but still nice, need newest patch though for the physx effects which are hardware accelerated, nice arcade effects, it's like getting chocolate and nuts for free on an ice cream cone.

+B.O.S Sahara blood http://www.bos-game.com/news.html
Same as blood sport but with some nicer levels, otherwise, very same thing.Hardware accelerated effects again.

+B.O.S Black-out Saigon http://www.bos-game.com/news.html

+City of Villains http://www.cityofvillains.com
MMORPG game using physx, cryptics added more support in recent patches, more particules when using powers specially, actually they managed to make this game faster on machine with ppu, between 35-45% depending if you have a single or dual core machine. Some instances use ppu for physics, like car destruction for example. This game is probably the first title that offers frame rate improvement.

+Auto Assault http://www.autoassault.com/news
MMORPG this game packs tons of phyx effects! And it really adds to the immersion, gameplay won't be affected after all it's effects, but just like HDR, blur effect, anti-aliasing etc... It really adds to the environment, specially when blowing stuff up is the essence of this game, this game is the perfect example of how physx effects can enhance a game title. Game has been discontinued as of 31/08/2007

A lot of people are giving Ageia a hard time about teh whole "hardware acceleration" thing even more lots of website are calling the card a "video card".Or simply giving a bad review on the fact that you don't get to see the effect all over the place in game title x, y or z.The same was said about anti-aliasing and small effects which are very common in gaming today.Small details left and right makes the whole thing better...

I do like the fact that you don't have to own the card to play a certain titles, not everyone have a 500$+ SLi rig for example, not everyone play games with HDR on, let the physx effects or physics be available software/hardware, on/off.Having a game require the hardware is bad for everyone including Ageia, everyone remember the whole debacle around Cellfactor.Truth is I'm sure the game could be played on my system without clothes and liquid effects at a reduced resolution but if I'm willing to pay the entry fee to physx hardware and get the whole thing at 1680x1050 more power to me!!!

Console games using PhysX engine:

-Gears of War (XBOX 360)
-Roboblitz (XBOX 360)
-Red Steel (Wii)
-Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire (PS3)
-GRAW (XBOX 360)

-Mass Effect (XBOX 360)
-BladeStorm (XBOS 360 PS3)
-Beowulf (XBOX 360)

Silverfall - Action RPG - Out in French, demo available. Available in US in March

Loki - Action RPG - Uses the same engine as Silverfall. Out sometime Q1 07

I played the demo for Silverfall and I think it's great, if you like that sort of game (which I do). Beats the hell out of buggy-ass Titan Quest. Loki, which I don't know much about, but which uses the same engine is likely going to be a lot of fun, too.

VanGuard saga of heroes ,suppose to have support for it. I knew auto assault would get the support. The game needed it . It was just a matter of time.

They fixed alot of problems in the patches for TQ , I haven really ran into bugs when I was playing it with a buddy.

Not exactly a game, it's a software to program bots, and yes physx is part of the engine, software support only.

Ageia was at our lan this weekend and had CF:R there running on a dell XPS laptop with an external pci adapter. The game looks sweet! 3 different classes, pure psi, psi and 1 weapon, and a cyborg class that is super strong, and can dual wield. Several new weapons were shown as well, look like it is gonna be a really fun game.

Even though I sold off my PhysX card, IMO this list would be much more useful if you split things up into two sections: one for hardware accelerated games, another for one that simply use the PhysX libraries/API. That hardware accelerated list is still small (and more useful for folks with the hardware), but the software list will get long once more and more games start to use the Unreal 3 Engine.

I was also at the LAN with Ricky, it was amazing to see the literally hundreds of barrels be moved and thrown, and you can control fire, rip enemies in half (people were really into that), and many other things. There were very good cloth, gun, and other effects. BUT one thing i have to point out is the fact that the game is pretty laggy, even on a core 2 duo with 2gigs of fast ram and a 7950gtx mobile..... but it was an alpha demo.......

well looks good, just my thoughts

This page has what seems to be a pretty comprehensive games list.
Yes I followed that link. Interresting.
infernal
Warmonger
Two games I aint aware off before.
Sounds also interresting besides Cellfactor.
Six game engine supporting it.
Also the external en PCIE PhysX solution sound it coming close.

2007 will be in interresting and crusial year for ageia.

Some of those games simply offload physics processing to the PhysX without adding any new effects. Perhaps you should split the list into those that use the PhysX and those that actually add extra PhysX-only effects.

March 7 looks to be the date for Silverfall. I just love the game. The art is fantastic.

Atari is releasing it, so I think some of the RPG gamers like myself will go for it. All a game like that needs is a good multiplayer community, and it's also going to have a level editor. If (when) a few good games come out with physics acceleration and mod making utilities, that could definitely be the point at which a lot of people start buying them.

Loki seems to have been pushed into Q2. I visit their forum occasionally, but there isn't a lot of information about it, yet. Cyanide studios is making it. It's very Diablo-esque. I hope we see it soon, because it looks fun.

EDIT: I hope it's okay to add screenshots. I'll take them out if it's a problem.

Cool screen shot from Loki.

grabbedspiderdi5.jpg

Check out the guy dangling from the spider.

thedesertdilegenspy1.jpg

Cropped in game shot from Silverfall of my character. You can tell Loki uses the same engine as Silverfall does.
silverfallcrossbow2jo0.jpg

My character from the demo with a crossbow.

The game engine does look good I wish I could my hands on an editor...

Red Steel for the Nintendo Wii uses PhysX. The Wii console itself costs about the same as the card, I believe. Too bad Red Steel got terrible reviews from everybody.

edit: Oh, looks like the price is down to $160 for a PhysX card. Nice. Sort of.

Thanks Admiral, added to the list, keep em coming, I'm sure new PhysX owners really appreciate this :)

Most impressive list, it's amazing how each time I find a new title using the physx engine one or two more just pop up, like every game that were planning meqon engine, specially devs from russia or around, will end up using physx as meqon is now part of ageia.

It's a good engine, whether you hook it to the hardware or not.

I found a racing game that is going to use physx, supposed to be released within the next weeks/months, I'm just digging the dev's forum so I can confirm this.

Minor updates to some descriptions, and added GRAW 2 as the closed beta is now available.

VanGuard saga of heroes ,suppose to have support for it.

Vanguard was supposed to have support for physx cards. I bought my card specifically for this reason. I have seen no benefits from it, and I am extremely disspointed that I waisted my money. It seems they just dropped the ball completely on the whole Physx thing. Anyone know why? or if they plan to impliment support sometime soon?

"Vanguard was supposed to have support for physx cards. I bought my card specifically for this reason."

Well for one, they have so many performance problems at the moment, the developpers are simply trying to fix/redo parts of the original engine, complains of people playing on extremely fast fast vid cards (aka 8800GTX/GTS) that produce barely 25-30 frame per seconds in certain areas.

Vanguard still use the physx engine for some stuff in that just no hardware support yet, they originally planned, soft cloth for capes for example and some particules effects for spells.

The devs are just not on track, they have too much issues to resolve and are trying very hard to implement new content asap to lure more people into playing, after all it's a subscription based game.

MMORPG is a different game beast from the rest, one thing I learned from experience, never plan your decision according to developpers speculation or "will be included later" speeches.

For all it's worth AutoAssault and City of Heroes are doing a fine job with the physx engine and the same engine is contributing to a new experience in mmorpg.

Fallen Earth a TBA mmorpg title will also use physx, time will tell.

hmm can you Split them up as it seems only 4 of them have Physx support, i mean the Hardware supported any game has physx software at some level as most of them games do not benerfit from an physx Card

mite get an sticky then :)

Updated the list again, + and - for HW and SW support, regroupped HW support titles so that people can easily identify that more than half the list have HW support.

Added "Two Worlds" and "Roboblitz" both released, one in europe only though.

To my surprise I have to admit this list is growing.

Two Worlds are you sure that’s an Ageia PPU game. Its user’s the Ageia API but I don’t see any PPU options or difference in game with a PPU. In fact the game is very light on physics.

As was said, the game is in sad shape currently, though I will say that the Devs put forth a heroic effort to get what they got out the door. If their using it at all or not, I have no clue, but I would guess their not as they barely had enough time to get the graphics engine working it seems.

It would be nice if more MMO's and all started using it for spell / weapon / attack effects and all as having more detailed / better effects would go a long way to the immersion / beauty of the games.

And I have to say I'm extremely surprised by the number of games using it. If it keeps growing more people will start buying and prices should drop even more :D And that's good for everyone :)

Pottsey I'm not sure either, but reports have been that ragdoll is smoother in large numbers if you have the card.I'm pretty much going from what I read on forums, their website is very shy.

You can download the demo from gamespot, It lets you play for an hour then you can buy it for $19.95 if you want.
