Okay, I just got back from college (whew). Now I came up to my ol reliable computer, plugged in all the power cords and such, pressed the power button, and it's not being reliable anymore. I have an AMD 2400+, Asus A7N8X Deluxe, 2x256MB Corsair PC3200, etc etc. It will begin the boot sequence, checking for IDE devices and such, then after it has detected those it just sits there. If I press "del" to access the BIOS options it usually takes a moment (lag?) but the screen loads. I can't imagine why the hell this thing isn't working. It's been turned off for 9 months (unplugged and everything). What all do you guys recommend to determine what the problem is? Rather than letting myself try random things I thought I'd come here and ask for a list of possible things I can check (I feel the hardware shouldn't have any problems) Anyways. Any advice.
