I currently have a SAS 9211-4i controller card that I was thinking of moving into my new media server. I have 4 2tb drives I was planning on using along with a montherboard that has 2 6gb/s ports on it. Also a 6tb drive already being used, thinking of getting another.

is there a better card out there that has better raid that will not break the bank?

I say not really. Spinners do not need any more bandwidth than you already have.
