I was wondering where everyone gets their PCI-E x16 risers for their builds, if it doesn't come with your case? I have seen numerous people on this forum with scratch builds requring a riser card, but have been having a difficult time finding a good source to buy them from.

Silverstone Tek doesn't sell their RC02 anymore, which ironically is the one used in the Valve Steam Machine prototype enclosure.

I'm actually interested in 2 different hights. Looking at the back of this 2U chassis, i want to try a riser that would place an expansion card either in the middle or lower of the 3 slots available:

Amazon ;)

It's a bit of hit or miss with specifications / heights in mm, but they're usually less than $20.

yea i found one i think will work for the bottom of those 3 slots, and i've found some that are listed to work for the top of those 3 slots, but i can't find one for the middle slot.

2U Low Slot Riser
2U High Slot Riser

So I'm still trying to find one for that middle slot from the picture in the OP.

I suppose i can get the 2U Low slot riser, and get a second extender riser to push it up a slot.

EDIT: speaking of straight extender risers, having a hard time finding those...

Well, looks as if the RC02 comes with an extension that helps it hit multiple heights. Keep that in mind, in your search.

The extension is so you can use it in slot 7, which is the slot location on all mITX motherboards. You have to use it like it was used in the valve prototype enclosure. Its to move the expansion card away from the motherboard horizontally, not vertically.

But i suppose i could buy a SECOND extender and use it vertically.

Any other options?

I get a bunch of risers form Adexelec.com

I have an EERXB16 type, you can have for shipping cost ($6)

I might have some of the PE-FLEX16 ones too, ill dig and check

I don't want flexible risers, i want a solid PCB.

For a couple of reasons. First is structual support for the graphics card, Second is because some cards don't like some of the flexible risers, and i'd rather just avoid the whole headache as long as i don't NEED a flexible riser.
