Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth P67
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 460
Hey, I'm having a small issue with my motherboard and I'm not sure if it's just a design configuration or if a pci-e slot is dead.
If I install my GPU into the first 16x pci-e slot my computer boots fine and I can obviously go into Windows, run anything, no problems. If I switch my single GPU to slot two though (runs x8 mode, according to manual), I can hear Windows start and the computer appears to boot fine, but no video and a red vga light is lit on my motherboard indicating a problem.
Is this a sign of a dead pci-e slot, some bios configuration, or is this x8 slot solely meant for a second video card in SLI?
Thanks for any help.
