PC Gaming Monitors

I was going to buy from there, but Scan has much better customer service so I chose them instead.

PS: I think the dead pixel policy is standard because the 2209WA is regarded as premium panel.

As of now, If it's not a TN panel, it's not a gaming monitor. It's as simple as that.

Not true.

A number of IPS based screens have low input lag and good pixel response. The Dell 2209WA does not have any perceivable input lag, allows 75hz input (and supports it) and very good response time, only surpassed by a couple of 22" TNs like the LG L227WTG-PF and maybe the BenQ X2200W from what I've read.

I also had a BenQ FP241VW that had very low input lag, and decent response time and was an A-MVA based 24".

That dell does not have a very low input lag

There is a lot to be said for the 120hz LCD's for gaming. If you get >60FPS now, you won't see those extra frames.

I can see the difference on my 2209WA between 60 and 75hz, so I would assume that the difference between 75 and 120hz would be noticeable too. That's assuming that the 120hz monitors have the pixel response speed to show enough of a difference. I would hope they would considering the premium they charge for them.

yep, I formally retract that post (as I was earlier corrected, that prad review is false since the discrepancy in multiples of 10 is a bug.)

I've gone to the 2209WA myself since! I can't get it to game at 75hz tho - if you could post a how to on that, it woulr be most appreciated 10e. I can't get refreshlock to work.

My bro has the non hd version of that monitor. It's pretty nice but the verticle viewing angle on a monitor that size is severly limited.
