Hello,
Few days ago my brother's eMachines desktop PC would not start.
He thought it was a bad switch so he pulled out the wires

from the front panel to the mobo.
But the on/off switch is fine. we tested it.
I took out the power supply and replaced it with a good one but the PC still not start up. The green light on the Mobo turns on when plugged in but the PC will start . The power supply has all the same connecters as the old one, The only difference it has on On/Off switch in the back of the PSU, the old PSU had not switch. I don't think this makes a difference?
The power from the wall is good, the Power cord is good.
I thought maybe I connected the cable from the power switch to the headers wrong but according to this Intel manual I have it right.
This what it says in the Manuel

This is where I connect the cable:

I connected it to 6 and 8 but it will not start.
Thanks in advance
