Went to buy a bunch of stuff this morning and noticed the paypal option wasn't available.

Called newegg they said there is some sort of technical problem they are working on, but there is no time estimate on when it is going to be fixed.

Does anyone else know about this? Is it really a technical problem or is newegg doing away with paypal?

not trying to worry anyone, just want to know what's going on

You are correct. During that week, orders that were placed using PayPal were not charged the full amount; even though when looking at your invoice it may have shown the full amount charged. Due to the PayPal issue of undercharging our customers, we temporarily removed the PayPal function from our website.

We're happy to inform you that it's now back!
The issue is fully resolved & you can once again enjoy the convenience of placing your order using Paypal!

Thanks for your understanding! PM us if you have any further questions--we'll be glad to assist! :)

Can you tell us when the PayPal sales are back on again please... :D

Isn't a high post count sometimes indicative of a posting whore or a troll anyway?

Not always. Perhaps they have a lot of knowledge they can actually share, where as a troll posts to be annoying or a post whore posts just to increase count.

Post count only means you've posted alot for some reason people associate a high post count with level of knowledge.

Which is precisely why I used the word "sometimes."

Granted I believe [H] moderates their forums well, so perhaps here it would most likely mean what you would thing it should mean...

I totally forgot about this until I was checking the forum. Just figured everyone knew of the problem and no one cared. Thanks newegg for letting me know, I was waiting to order a bunch of stuff and now I can.
