  • I, too, like the many posters here will be taking my business elsewhere. I just totaled my account up since opening with you in 2001 and it's well over $10,000. Nor will you get word of mouth business from me.
I seriously meant it when i said that I preferred Newegg over the local brick and mortar retailers, including the one I work at. Yes, you read that right - I shopped at the Egg before i even used my own employee discount at my own workplace. Why? Out of respect for a place that supports the , for one, and two, the customer service I receive from the Egg surpasses anything I've experienced with the local B&M's. That's saying something when you outdo a place you can physically walk into for customer service.

But apparently such praise falls on deaf ears. So be it. You won't get my money anymore, or by anyone I've forwarded business to you through word of mouth. I will be redirecting them all elsewhere.
Maybe you guys didn't see enough click-throughs to think the was a solid advertising venue but think about something here. This is a site by computer geeks, for computer geeks and populated by computer geeks. We are the ones who fix computers for our family members, friends, co-workers and in many cases, our customers. We are the ones who have been telling these same people for years and years that the best place bar-none to get computer stuff is the egg. The customers that I have steered your way over the years didn't go there because of ads, they went there because someone they trust with their computer problems told them too.

Newegg's reputation is largely founded on word of mouth from people who have gotten good service over the years but don't underestimate the power of principle among the people who have helped to get you where you are. Remember, statistics don't always show the larger picture.
Hate to hear that you dropped advertising with HardOCP. I have spent $28,000 with Newegg over the years for personal and business. I was excited to hear about Newegg Business. Now not so much.. I will be looking to other vendors for my future purchases. Hopefully Newegg and Kyle can come to agreement on a new advertising contract.
    To, Newegg

I'm with this user. I've spent a few $$ at Newegg and sent lots of people there for parts. Not sure I'd be inclined to do that now.

    What he said:

Since I can not find a e-mail address to send this to, I'll send it here. I recently learned about your withdrawal from advertising on ardOCP. I must say I feel this is a mistake. I first learned about your company from ardOCP and have done a large amount of business with your company over many years. I have also recommended your site to dozens of people over that time.

I will find it hard to continue doing business and offering recommendations for you after your advertising withdrawal from ardOCP. I feel it is important to do business with companies that support the communities that I belong to. Until such time Newegg decides to reconsider it's advertising decision to ardOCP I will have to take my business elsewhere.
The members of Hardocp.com are extremely dissappointed with Newegg having dropped advertising on this site.

Hopefully this is all a big misunderstanding. If you can, please relay our concerns to your superiors and others whom it may concern.

If things can't be worked out, I do believe many members will be taking their business elsewhere. Please keep in mind the following:
Every good customer experience is worth a few new customers, but a bad experience is worth a great deal more customers lost.
My account is under [email protected]. Look it up, add it up and kiss that money goodbye. Support the forums that support you or watch your soon to be public stock price drop faster than panties on prom night.
I am sorry to inform you, since you have taken your support away from , I will no longer be supporting Newegg.
I will miss doing business with you Newegg. Though not near as much as I would have a few years ago. All the little changes over the years have been adding up.
