i´ve selected "big" on the config of the SMP client.
there is a expected size, is that size in KB or Bytes?

i dunno how big are those files, it´s currently downloading :S
 
The SMP client always default to BIG since there is technically no small or normal SMP units. A unit download average about 5 MB and a upload average 20-30 MB. For this, you need a good internet connection, which I'm not sure you get in Peru ?

 
Heh, I keep it set to small on all my clients. I was hoping this would decrease the number of large uploads I have to do when the work unit is finished but doesn't seem to make a damn bit of difference. I'm still uploading an easy 30 meg for the A2 core work units.

I don't give a damn about my downstream bandwidth as that is 8mbit, but my upstream is only 512kbit.

 
Have the 50MB monsters been weeded out yet? Haven't noticed any... It literally takes an hour for me to upload those sometimes. :S

that is Scientific Linux CERN v4 (or SLC4)
a crappy implementation of Red Hat IMHO :S
