As if this Tuesday was not stressful enough with income tax season coming to an end, now you have to worry about borking your database as well. Oracle is set to release 41 patches Tuesday, most of which are for critical vulnerabilities.

On Oracle's Website, it notes, "Two of these vulnerabilities may be remotely exploited without authentication, i.e. may be exploited over a network without the need for a username and password.

Since many datacenters were operating under change-control moratoriums until 4/15, it was prudent of Oracle to queue these patches until now, refraining from making the exploits public knowledge until the customers were free to actually apply the patches.

Still, no quality control geek likes a "big bang" upgrade </shudder>
 
Oracle sucks anyway, they should release a few patches to speed up the POS. I guess this a good thing though still. Either that or my company needs to do a serious HW upgrade. (probably a little bit of both)

As you can tell, I really don't like using it.
