After a system rebuild before Christmas, my magazine copy of Realviz Stitcher said it was out of date and wouldn't install. Rather than pay for a new version, I tried searching for free stuff to do the same thing. The one that came with my Canon 30D is OK, but you can't specify specific points in the seam. Any suggestions?

Do you have the current version of Photoshop? The CS3 stitcher does a pretty good job.

Two years ago I was in a Panorama phase (tried to go as big as I could). Tried many programs, in the end Autopano gave me the best results with the least effort. Also supports lots of cpu's.

I don't quite remember the limitations of the demo version (and couldn't find them on their website) but for the demo just download the main program.

then show us results :D

I second the vote for auto stitcher above. It's been able to stitch shots where other software hasn't and the results are always excellent. It does soften the image a little, so apply some sharpening after and you're good to go.
