I have the inklin thought about painting my xigmatek cooler.. but I'm throwin' it otu there as a late night, sleep deprived thought.

Smart idea, or throw it out like last weeks bread?

Rofl.. Ok, thanks Bill. I'll take your advice and not paint my HSF...

youd need some thermal conductive paint if it even exists. otherwise it's just going to trap heat in the metal :(

Yeah,
A copper or copper injected HS is meant to draw heat faster and aluminum is meant to dissipate it into the air faster.. Covering them with paint is going to negate either from doing their job efficiently at ALL.. long story short, BAD IDEA!!!

If the HS is pure aluminum you can get it anodized like what they do to paintball guns.. Its the art of bonding ink to metal using electricity, but it would still decrease the efficiency by some degree.. hope that helps..
