Painting a Dell...

Just wondering how would one of you go about painting a dell off white, all apple like? Its kinda of an anti-dell thing, but I want it to make it look good too. Suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Well, dells have that obnoxious texture, and they are plastic. I would start by throwing it out a window and buying a white case, it will probably save time/money. But if you wanted to paint it, start by sanding the entire thing down until it is smooth, then use white vinyl dye to get it white. Otherwise, you could use the krylon paint that is specifically for plastic, though I sometimes get bad results with it, it will work fine if you do proper prep work.
 
yeah, you're gonna have to do some heavy sanding since dell's are like total plastic and have real bumpy texture.

I'm sure viny die will work great, but when I painted the palstic parts of my Compaq's front face plate, I got good results with just sanding, multiple layers of primer, and regular spray paint.
