'Tis true. And yes you might have to load RAID drivers if they are not built into XP.
I want to run P67 on Windows 3.11. Are there drivers?![]()
Let it go dude. Upgrade your programs that won't run on Windows 7. It's time.![]()
Virtual machinesno dual boot needed!
wont run in compatibility mode?
autocad 2011 works fine on windows 7, 2010 has some issues

2009 no idea.
Autocad 2009 and 2010 work with Vista, Autocad 2011 works with Win7.I don't know about the OP but if youv'e got an extra $5000 for an Autocad 2009,10,11 licence I'd be happy to ditch XP.
They were never included even with the SP3 upgrade. You don't need SATA drivers for XP.
Well gigabyte seem to offer 64-bit XP drivers on their website so it should be ok. Bear in mind that XP x64 isn't really XP at all it's a desktop version of 2003 so when looking for drivers for perhipheral hardware if there aren't explicit XP x64 drivers the next thing to look for is drivers for server 2003 x64. Sometimes drivers intended for vista and win7 will also work.I wan't to build an XP x64 system, and I have a spare P67A-UD7-B3 laying around. Might I run into any issues with driver support?
If you want to raid any drives on the same controller as your boot drive (and you DO because the intel controller is way better than the marvell controller) then you will need to run the controller to be in raid mode. Therefore you will need to install the raid drivers during setup (either through a F6 floppy or through slipstreaming)Also, I will be using two SATA drives in RAID 0, but the array will not be the system (OS) drive. Will I still need to do F6 RAID drivers during install? (been many years since I last installed XP)
I really don't know what you did but XP never had SATA drivers included. Are you talking about RAID/AHCI drivers? Or just basic SATA drive support in IDE mode? I've clean installed windows with SATA Drivers without needing any sort of third party program, but I don't use raid or ahci....
I really don't know what you did but XP never had SATA drivers included.
Like cwj717 said, you had to slipstream the drivers or use a floppy.
Pretty much a moot point at this time.![]()
Exactly.the SATA drives would appear to XP as regular IDE devices
