I bought 2 of these chips on ebay and the spec codes do not match the database at intel.
I went to cpu world and it said processors starting with the letter Q are engineering processors both of these have the same numbers QFT8 and are 479 pin processors I believe they are worth something what do you think?

Those are mobile P3 CPUs, 133MHz FSB Tualatin core 1.2GHz S478 or S479. I hope they were cheap. ;)

when I looked the chips up the numbers I found that were close were p4 chips not p3 I checked those as well the numbers were vastly different from p3 chips. Anyhow I contacted Intel they will be able to tell me what they are and if they are engineering chips they will want them back.

I just looked them up....pxc is right, they are P3-Ms.

Intel has been known to "replace" ES chips with "real" ones if you ask (tell them you got ripped off on eGay or something).

where are you looking them up at? I can't find them at all.

I have a spreadsheet with all the steppings of every proc made. It's not something you get on the net. :D

And good luck getting them to replace that chip. I doubt they care about a chip that old.

my girlfriend had the same thing happen, she tried to buy a p4 m on ebay and they sold her a stinkin p3 479. Stupid sellers.

Those are Qualification Samples as noted by the QS instead of the an ES marking. If intel wont swap them for you then I would be glad to take em. The would make a nice addition to my collection of ES and QS chips.

Contacted intel today they are p3 1.06 133 mhz fsb core stepping fpa1 l2 cache 512k l2 cache speed 1.06 ghz 06b1 cpuid string core voltage 1.500 thermal guideline 21.0 w thermal spec 100c 0.13 micron bus/core ratio 8 include speedstep technology.
