This is my question and it seems simple but ive put a ton of thought into it as Ive waited
like on all purchases I do. On random boards by random Manufacturers. Even the Good boards like the Gigabyte and ASUS... Then to the crappy boards like jetway,asrock.....(opinon only)....

WHy is it that these boards with these chipsets always have 1 problem random reboots are random boot cycleing before powering on etc.... If you know what I'm talking about please comment.

I just don't understand it. I don't own a board with this chipset. I own a crappy chipset 630i that has problems witht he USB on its own. But i'm wanting to get a newer p45 board and was wondering before I do what is the casue of this problem(not its fixeable with an upadate etc.etc) But what casues it to randomly cycle are have shutdown issues... is it the chipset although superior and stable as far as working... but haveing problems starting and shutting down?

Oh you're talking about the double boot issue? Where the mobo will boot up to the BIOs and then restart and boot up normally?

Well unfortunately, you're gonna have to ask Intel why that issue still exists. In fact, IIRC, that issue showed up as far back as the P965 chipset. With that said, a BIOs update usually fixed the issue. Even it didn't, it's not that big of an issue. It's just an annoyance.

And dude, for the love of god, please fix your grammar and punctuation, I had to read that posts several times over just to understand what you were trying to say.

Yeah I'm sorry I'm guilty as charged. I never did finish high school so my grammer sucks. I can't spell that well either. I apoligize.

I knew there was a problem/annoyance. I pinpointed it on random post. about half the problem post i saw on these chipsets were with this issue. So it's safe to assume if i'm ok with the 630I. I will be fine wiht a p45 as it's just a problem with starting. There is no random reboots that would occur, unless a power issue was at hand right?

Outside of a defective mobo, CPU or RAM and the double boot issue, there are no random reboots with the P45 chipset.
