I have an Antec P-182SE running a Q6600 cooled by a Thermalright Ultima-90 w/Silenx 92mm Ixtrema fan. The MOBO is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R (see signature for details).

Here is a screenshot of my temps after the PC was running for a couple of hours:

I am considering adding a chipset cooler since the place I just moved into does not have air conditioning and it is getting pretty hot outside.

Does anyone have experience with the Thermalright chipset coolers? I assume they will work much better than the stock cooler, I am just worried about clearance inside of my case from the Ultima-90 CPU cooler (see photos below). Will the chipset cooler interfere with the Ultima-90 or will it fit easily? Thanks for your help!

The HR-05 is a pretty good chipset cooler. I'm using one myself in my rig. You have more than enough clearance for with that HSF and mobo. Compared to your readings, my temps 1 and 2 are 3C to 6C lower with the HR-05.

However I recommend just strapping a small fan (40mm to 50mm) on the northbridge if you don't mind the extra noise, want something cheaper, and don't want to take apart your PC again.

Thermalright makes a version of the HR-05 called the HR-05-SLI that's offset so the tower portion is not directly over the chipset. It's designed for SLI setups so the cooler doesn't interfere with the cards, but it should work for your situation as well if you have clearance issues. It looks to me like your Ultima-90 is overlapping the top of the chipset heatsink, so if that's the case this might be just what you need.

Do you think it might even make sense to just turn the Ultima-90 by 90 degrees? It would still have an exhaust fan above it and this would leave more room for a chipset cooler.

That would actually work, since you've got a fan up there.
