I noticed many of you jumped on the 5000+ sale Newegg had last week, figured you would want to share how yours is doing.

:D

At the moment I am having trouble getting it stable at 3.2GHz so I will first try to get it stable at 3GHz before I move on. I am using 4GB of RAM though (or is that an Intel problem?), so that may or may not be a problem. Also I would like to note that mine did NOT come with the AMD clamshell box or the Tribal Stickers that are featured on various sites. Still a great deal all in all.

I'm waiting on a cable from Monoprice, but when I get it, I'll post my results here. I've got the 5000+ running on an MSI K9A platinum with an AC Pro 64 for cooling. Here's to 3.0 GHz+! :D

What kind of cooler are you using? How are your temps?
What kind of PSU? Your cpu seems to be over-volting a little, but I've seen that on all the recent AMD systems I built, are the rest of your lines stable? The only 5000+ I got to run above 3.2ghz was @1.42 volts but it ran quite hot so I had to tone it down.

I am using a Freezer 64, and considering that summer is hitting my area pretty hard as of late - I think that the ~53C on max load is respectable (the AS5 I applied might not have settled yet I believe). My PSU is a Cooler Master that seems to have pretty stable rails across the board according to BIOS and my MM. If anything I would think that my MB is under-volting just a tad and reporting false numbers to OCCTPT.

I understand that reaching a certain limit when it comes to OC'ing is like a gamble. At this point I am just glad it can do 3.1GHz rock stable. :D

The only thing I can think of that might be a problem is the fact that all my RAM slots are full. I remember back in the XP/P4 days people would recommend that you not fill up all slots for OC'ing / benchmarking - but I have no idea if that applies to the AM2's.
