I am using the Asus P5B deluxe motherboard and currently I am using a 550watt power supply but I only have a 4 pin connector into the EATX12V power header.

For overclocking should i find a good power supply that will support a plugin for the EATX12V with a 8 pin header?

I had the same issue, you can get a 4 to 8 pin adapter, but I dont think its a big deal ran mine fine , I am saying that assuming you are running a core 2 duo which dont required anywhere near the juice of the older P4 .

looking for a link for ya.

you dont need the included 20 to 24 pin adapter but its a good thing to have in the junk pile

Thanks.. it will be interesting to know if I can lower my Vcore if I have the 8pin vs. 4pin connected.

Oh and yes I am running a Core Duo 2 6600 @ 3.2 Ghz.

Vcore is huge @ 1.5 volts.
