Hi guys,

Ok so I just built a new rig. Danny Bui linked a couple of threads to me but im kind of looking for something step by step to ease the nerves. I havent overclocked since the old school magic celeron's from back in the day.

heres my rig

intel i5 760 cooled with a corsair h70. desktop temps at around 26 degrees celcius
Asus p7p55d-e motherboard
4 gig corsair xms 1600
ocz agility 2 60gb ssd
1tb sata samsung drive
2 diamond 6870's in crossfire
Corsair tx850 psu
corsair 600t case

should i bother with the turbo v evo proggy at all?

thanks in advance

Not sure what the heck you are asking. Maybe I am a little to sleepy to decipher gibberish.

I would go into your BIOS. Find the setting to turn off Auto frequency. Then set the BCLK to 150 MHz instead of 133. Then do some stability testing with IBT (Intel Burn Test) google for links.

The mean the Turbo v program that ASUS gives you with its higher end motherboards, it does sound like gibberish otherwise!

It works ok for testing the water with some things. But for OCs i'd always set it with the BIOS (you can use the turbo v to poke around for some decent settings, then copy it to the BIOS, then repeat)

Thanks. I do not have any ASUS 1156 or 1366 boards (home or work) so I have not seen that yet..

Anyways I forgot to mention for my 150 MHz BCLK setting. Do not mess with any other setting at the beginning. Normally, you should not need to change any voltage or any other setting to achieve a 150MHz BCLK.
