Have you tried tweaking your Vcore, chipset voltage, VTT, etc.? And what are the rest of your specs?
i did try once, going off a guide i found online. but i didn't get it to work.
can someone tell me what they set their's to?
that's what i thought. but for some reason mine only goes to 20
Twoodcc, tell us which motherboard, CPU, heatsink and RAM you are using. That way we can help with specific settings.
Isn't Turbo the option that ups the multi?
Well I would like to see what others put for the voltages and stuff
How old is the computer? You might have a crappy C0 chip. Some of the C0s didn't do well. Mine would only do 3.6ghz no matter how much voltage I pumped into it.
My ram is supposed to run at 1066 MHz. Would this hold me back?
But at 2:6, wouldn't the max bclock be 177 or so?
This guide was very helpful.
inch the bclk clock up till it acts up then back if off till it stable
Force your QPI to 4.8
If you have it on auto and your blck is at 2000 then your QPI is running at 7.2 at stock volt and wont be stable.
What memory do you have?Set the multiplier to 6 until your get a stable CPU.
Can you set the Uncore Frequency? It should be 2x your Memory speed. So if you can set the Uncore Multiplier set it to 12, or do 2x+1 = 13.
not sure if you have read the review's on your computer. if not do a search for it im sure you will find a few good reviews. most of them show what they had to do to get to several different speeds. and cheak for bios updates
Depends on who you ask. Prime95 actually is not a very good indicator for how stable an OC will be for A3's or bigadv. I've had OC's go through 24 hours of p95 testing only to fail at either A3 or a bigadv. The only real way to tell is to just try it. I will generally run Linpack for 20 passes and p95 for a couple hours and then go right to an A3 and then bigadv. So, how long P95 stable is stable enough for A3?
