Hey everyone!
I am fairly new to the forums and I would like to get some input on how you actually overclock a Core 2 processor. I just bought an Intel D975XBX motherboard, 2x512 Corsair DDR2 667mhz memory, and ATi X1900XT video card and I want to get either a E6400 or E6600 processor. It seems that these new processors can overclock real good so it would be a crime not to do it.
What I would like is for someone to either break it down to a step by step process since I never OC'd before or if someone could provide a link as to how it's done I would really appreciate it. I know that with the motherboad I bought it might require using a pen to connect certain pins to unlock the OC process but I'm not 100% sure. I am looking to do a decent OC with a heatsink/fan not a crazy push for the most Mhz overclock.
Thanks in advance!
