Overclocking Clawhammer - Opinions Requested

This is my first serious attempt to overclock my 3400+ Clawhammer. It's got an XP-120 sat on top and goes from 34-36C idle to 44-45C load. I've got OCZ Platinum Rev 2 RAM at 2-2-2-5 timings.

I bumped the HTT to 220 and it wouldn't hold. I've slackened the timings on the RAM to 2-3-3-5 and it seems good - I've done no hard testing, but a few benchmarks and all seems good at 2420Mhz, temps at 46C.

I tried for a 230 HTT - no luck at all. I pushed the CPU up to 1.6v and still no luck. I have reason to believe (reviews) the RAM will hold these timings into the 240s so I've left that alone. I tried an HTT of 225 and it hung. On 1.575v it lasted a few seconds. On 1.6v it lasted longer again, but not enough to check the temps were good (I assume they'll be ok still)

What is the next best step? Keep pushing the CPU voltage up to see if I can get stability, or is the risk likely to outweigh the returns? I was hoping to hit 2.6Ghz (gotta aim high), but don't want to be flogging the balls off my CPU so it breaks in two weeks.

What is your HTT multiplyer at? Socket 754 right? I am guessing that HTT max is 800 mhz, so 200 mhz x 4 is default I would think(don't own my a64 yet but have been reading). Try setting the HTT multi down to 3x. That may help you get there. Socket 754 has a problem getting over 800 mhz on the HTT if I remember correctly.

Anyone able to verify this for me?

My knowledge is starting to get somewhat vague about what the HTT multiplier is there for and what the effects would be of dropping down to x3. If anyone else suggests it's a good idea I'll research it some more.

After further testing, 220 will not run stably in Prime even at 1.65v and the temps up to 55C. A 217 HTT seems to run ok (after 20 mins of Prime) with 1.65v. I'm now testing a 210 HTT at 1.55v as that extra +7 doesn't seem worth the voltage boost. A steenking, measly 5% overclock.
