Overclocking and Video Cards.

When you OC your video card, how long should you check for artifacts (In ATI Tool) for? Because yesterday I was only doing it for a minute or two. I decided to check it again last night, and after 3 minutes it spotted a tiny artifact.. so I tuned down the settings on the GTS that I had made. How long is long enough to ensure there are no artifacts and that your OC isn't too high?

I just recently began overclocking my new (And first) build, so that is why I am asking these questions

there really is no length, if you are getting artifacts at all, theres an issue. You shouldnt be getting any period. If you can play games without problems then your fine, its not like artifacts damage your card or anything, but it is the first sign of overheating/being overclocked to high.
