Over heating...

Hey, my pc has started to over heat in the past few months and Im trying to figure out why. My idle temp is about 48-50C. While gaming, im around 60C. I have an I7 core with a p6t MB. Im running a Cooler Master V8 fan in the Thermaltake Kandalf case I own. Ive found the 2 GPUs are heating up alot so Ive opened the case to let it cool down. when the case cover was on, it had been over 60C while gaming. When I touch the V8 fan it anywhere, its cold to the touch. the MB is running around 43C. Im just wondering whats goin on since I can tell its affecting gameplay. I start getting static blips and noises. Last time it crashed my PC. Im seriously considering getting rid of the 2 GPUs and goin to a single and perhaps even switching to watercooling the CPU though im not a fan of it. Any help is appreciated as always.

I'm confused, what's overheating, your GPU? cuz 60°C load on an i7 is rather normal.

Yea, and if it is the GPUs then that is amazing temperatures. But like enginurd said, if it is the CPU, that is a normal temperature. Chances are heat is not causing the issues you are describing.

Hows that normal? it used to be at 38C (the CPU). As for the 2 GPU's, im not sure of the temps they are running at but to give u an idea they are quite hot to touch. When the CPU temp was around 68C while I was gaming I turned down the CPU fan (by accident, thought I had turned it up since its just a knob at the back of my PC) and as soon as I did the PC froze. I suppose it could be the Vid cards heating up the system since they are both putting off tons of heat running together in SLI while im gaming. I do play almost everything at max and u can really hear the cards working away with an irrating buzzing type noise.

38C at load for the CPU?

The seasons have changed in the past few months. Also, clean out your PC if you haven't done so. A few months of dust buildup can affect temps.

38°C i7-920 @ load? i'm gonna need proof plz. lol. idle, sure... but load? wow. do u live in alaska?
