Outlook 2003 Crashed

Hey guys,

Recently my outlook 2003 crashed on me. I didn't think that I needed any emails from it, but now I found out I do. I never archived my email like I should have. Where are those emails located if an archive.pst file was never created?

I did a search on my HD for the archive.pst file that I thought maybe Outlook would automatically create, but I found nothing.

Any suggestions?

I know for Outlook Express, they're stored in .dbx (I think) files int he Program Files\Outlook Express directory.

Hmm... I just did a search for *.dbx and I found no files with that extension on them... I'm guessing 2003 uses a different extension scheme then what Express uses. Damn you MS.

you should find it buried in your my docs somewhere (application data>m$>outlook IIRC) and as a .pst

you may have to show hidden files and folders to find the application data folder

Outlook stores the "PersonalFolders.PST" file in the following location :>

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

Id search for *.PST and see if it finds a PST file, like mentioned above, enable searching on hidden files and folders.

Once you find it, you can do (from Outlook) File, Import/Export and then direct it to the location of the PST file fouond above
