I have a 500W Ultra X-Connect, and it has performed flawlessly with a OC'd P4 and 7800gs but Im upgrading my setup. I just bought a q9450, a GTX 260 XXX edition 4GB of Corsair XMS2 and a MSI P7N Platinum Sli mobo and was wondering if I need to buy a new PSU to keep it all running. I would prefer not to buy another one, but if I have to I have to.
Thanks in advance.

I think that I'm going to keep it stock at least for a while. I have 2 250GB Seagate Sata2 drives, maybe another sata1.

So does that mean you guys just don't like it, or it won't work?
A little of both actually.

It will power that rig but not for long. That PSU is made by Youngyear, a company well known for making low-quality PSUs. I wouldn't trust any Youngyear made PSU with such a high-end rig like that. You have at least $1000 worth of hardware and you want to trust it with a PSU that should cost $25? Not a smart move IMO.

the Ultra 1000w I had couldn't handle my rig it freaked out and stopped working, returned it for a 1000w toughpower (which runs flawlessly)

The PSU has got 34A on the 12V rail which should be enough. Those old P4's were also quite power hungry so the CPU won't be a problem. The GTX260 draws more power than your 7800 for sure, but it's not that bad compared to the 4870X2 or GTX280. It's similar to a 4870 and ATI recommends a 500W PSU for those.
