When you're a [H]orde foldin' team member "you don't needs no stinkin' gravity"
Folding and WCGing for the CURE
Just added my 9750 to the mix. Is there a way to do GPU crunching as well?
*snip*
TeAm AnandTech maintains the lead, looses a lot of distance (17.70%).
[H]ard-OPC has gained 703 163 in 7 days, which is 49.96%.
It seems that Christmas is coming early this year. Some of the TeAm AnandTech members are shutting down their computers because they are goint to their families for the Christmas celebration. The decrease in production in connection with Christmas is a well observed phenomenon on TeAm AnandTech ...
But some of us oldies (i.e. those crunchers, to whom the young ones travel) we do not shout down our computers. We will go on. To the glorious end of the race!![]()
see Team AnandTech isnt [H]ard enough
should tell your teammates to invest in UPS's...
Well, UPS's are not the problem ... it is the heat.
...so we are still on the road to beating them by december 31st...
12/30/05 we took 1st for the last time in F@H
12/31/05 the Relic Trophy was handed over officially
Let's get it done on one of those dates.![]()
There's been some serious rampage going on. I thought once everything leveled out I could get in the top 10 PPD. Now it looks like staying in the top 20 PPD will be too strong of a challenge. Keep it up everyone!
good job guys. This is awesome.
I am one of the new regulars crunching as raynman. I came over from the F@H side, where I show up as raynman68, after getting tired of being treated like a rented mule by Stanford. That was in the past and I for one like to look toward the future and the future from my perspective has me crunching here for a while.
Yeah, it's been really fun to watch and participate the past couple weeks! It's been an interesting time for sure.
(Snippet Petrusbroder)...
It's not over 'till they're whining like a 12 year old (sorry to my nieces for the reference)....
Yeah it is interesting indeed.
But the the whining you can wait for a long time. Such as "until h..l freezes over.
It would be good though if you did wait here. Then we move over to other projects ... and win.![]()

Guess we could move over to F@H and do a little racing there as well.
What do ya think guys? Are we up for a little F@H love too?![]()
I already asked if they were interested in a F@H race after this was done, but the response was less than enthusiastic. They're only 1.1 Billion points back, that can be overcome right?![]()

I think if you come up with a good handicap system we'd be happy to take a look at it.One way to race (e.g. next year) would be to level the playing field with some kind of handicap system. But that would have to be thought out in such a way that both teams would be happy. As I know the competitivness of the citizens of the USA, I am not sure that such a reasonably fair handicap system could be constructed ...![]()
Agreed! Anything can and usually does happen. I'm still putting odds on us though.BTW, the race is not quite yet over. You may pass us soon but it ain't over until the fat lady sings. You never know what may happen ...

Well, the response was less then enthusiastic because we have an intra team race going on. The team mates want to finish that.
We are not quite ready yet to take on a team which has 6 times as many active crunchers as we do ... the disparity is way too large. The difference, well it is large, but not impossible - if we could increase the number of folders to twice your level or more.![]()
