TMo will be selling OnePlus 6T with the second SIM disabled as well as bootloader locked. Bootloader can be unlocked after being paid off, but no word on whether the second SIM could even be enabled (might be lack of hardware instead of software). So if you don't have a device to trade in for the $300 credit, just purchase it straight from OnePlus. This ends the public service announcement.

While no carriers currently support Apple's eSIM yet, but at least we know it's coming. iPhone XR it is for me. No Dual SIM is not a deal breaker cause I've been using single SIM forever, but when the device in comparison is dual SIM capable, I'll take that!

idk about that. There would be certainty trades offs for sure. Depending on priority each device has there strengths. But o don't think the v20 quailfies for the trade in deal.

Hasn't been since the 7, really. At least no more than a handful of people. Last year the lines were nonexistant, as well they should be. It's much easier ordering online now.

The flagship store, right near the launch event that customers/fans paid to go to, where they could all buy the device 3 days earlier. There's no shock there was a line there, these are people who were going to order the phone on the 1st anyways. No need for far-out theories about paid actors & other bullshit.

Apparently it's hardware locked to single SIM. You can buy a Nexus 6 off ebay for $60ish. but I'm just going to pass. I'll carry around my Note 9 and sell that off when the S10 comes out and Samsung ships one to me.

In the meantime, I need to sell my S9+ and 2 iPhone 7s.

Maybe not by you, but in the north Chicago suburbs every single iPhone launch has packed Apple stores and lines outside the building.

so far I've only read that it has a single SIM tray. But a dual SIM tray from its predecessor fits. But the people who had tested that didn't test with 2 working SIMs. XDA folks are just waiting till wide TMo release. In the meantime, I've already picked up an XR. Going to set up tonight while passing out candy.

So got my 6T today from T-Mobile. I've been down on OnePlus in the past because they made boneheaded decisions but not with the 6T. It's a wonderful device. It's beautiful. It's fast as hell. The screen is beautiful. It's bloat free minutes 2-3 T-Mobile apps. 2 of the 3 can be uninstalled. The only complaint is that the in-screen fingerprint reader isn't as fast as a traditional reader on the back of the phone. Even then it isn't anything to really complain about.

Overall for the price this is an amazing device. They included a dongle for the headphones and from what the T-Mo reps said the case is a Tech21. It certainly looks like a Tech21 but who knows. I can't really find anything to confirm but it's not a bad case for free at all. :p

Overall I'm very happy with it so far. Think I'll keep this awhile.

I didn't realize that not much is changed from the 6 to the 6T. If you must have a headphone jack, it should be a pretty easy decision to get the 6 as you don't miss out on much other than the smaller notch and 400 mah battery increase.

The GSMArena comparison-of-specs sheet agrees with what you noticed.

That battery is what made the decision for me. I don't need 128gb of storage, I've managed just fine the past 3 years with 16GB, I dont care to use a finger print sensor regardless of where its located, So my plan was to wait until the new phone was announced and hope to get discount pricing on the 6 around black Friday/Christmas, especially when I heard they were opting for no headphone jack. BUT, they increased the battery a pretty decent amount and only added 20 bucks to the base price. So after a bit of soul searching I determined a bigger battery will ultimately make me much happier than looking for a dongle the whole 10 or so times I actually plug headphones into my phone.
