lol, it's so funny how many of these tools come out of the cracks of society and blog all these conspiracy theories. They are worse and more inaccurate than the media.I swear, they just google random events, then loosely link them all up together in the most obscure way they can to make themselves look credible.
OH_MY_GOD liek yesterday the dow went down 400 points and I was on my way to the store to stockpile up on bottled water and my car got hit! It had to be a us gov't agent that hit me preventing me from going to get water! IT'S A CONSPIRACY!?! George Bush did it! Cheney, conspiracy, zionism, neo-con, illuminati, israel, planned attack, tin foil, big words and catch phrases!?!?

While it is obvious that the United States has the capability, it is bind-sided to think the it is the only country. If you were to "cut your teeth" on an underwater exercise, wouldn't breaking something be the easiest task? Maybe I am just playing devil's advocate here, but I see little US Military interest in cutting those cables at this point as referenced on the first link:
But, I do see a reason for IRAN to cut then and blame it on the US and Israel. Like Al-Quaeda, they too want to regress their population to the middle ages. Oh, and Iran does have submarines as well, diesel for sure, but fully capable of this.
"Connecting the dots" blindly assumes that "fight the net" stands on it's own. As if the entire Internet was the enemy. I've also got to add that the Pentagons' job is to be warmongering. They have to assume that everyone is an enemy so that they are prepared for when someone actually is. The Pentagon is not the leadership of the US, just the military. I swear, why do so many criticize the military for doing their job?
After reading the first link, and seeing many speak about the second as worse than the first, it isn't worth my time to go any further. Besides, we're kinda getting off topic.
Losing the cables cuts communication, forcing the locals to rely on Al-Jaseera. Maybe Al-Jaseera did it.![]()
Saboteurs may have cut Mideast telecom cables: UN agency
Damage to several undersea telecom cables that caused outages across the Middle East and Asia could have been an act of sabotage, the International Telecommunication Union said on Monday.
"We do not want to preempt the results of ongoing investigations, but we do not rule out that a deliberate act of sabotage caused the damage to the undersea cables over two weeks ago," the UN agency's head of development, Sami al-Murshed, told AFP.
Five undersea cables were damaged in late January and early February leading to disruption to Internet and telephone services in parts of the Middle East and south Asia.
There has been speculation that the sheer number of cables being cut over such a short period was too much of a coincidence and that sabotage must have been involved.
India's Flag telecom revealed on February 7 that the cut to the Falcon cable between the United Arab Emirates and Oman was caused by a ship's anchor. But mystery shrouds what caused another four reported cuts.
"Some experts doubt the prevailing view that the cables were cut by accident, especially as the cables lie at great depths under the sea and are not passed over by ships," Murshed said on the sidelines of a conference on cyber-crime held in Gulf state of Qatar.
The Falcon cable has since been repaired, along with the Flag Europe Asia (FEA) cable which was damaged off Egypt's Mediterranean coast. The status of the remaining cable is still unclear.
GOOD, stop shipping our god damn IT jobs over seas
