no no, I already said to each his own, but people keep bashing this thread. This is not the Antec 1200 hater thread, this is the Antec 1200 looks awesome thread. So if you don't like it stfu and go make a 1200 bashing thread where you guys can go say how much your stackers are better.

No one is bashing your thread. People are bashing what looks to be a shoddy, boring rehash of the Antec 900 :eek:

fugly side window......we dont need the stupid mesh or a fan there.

they shouldnt have moved the controls that far forward.

I like it. I've always preferred Function over Form; and this case is no exception. It focuses primarily on cooling, which is what I look for.
 
Another vote for bulky and ugly looking. Never understood why people liked the 900 so much.
 
I wouldn't buy one because I tend toward smaller cases nowadays but I think it looks pretty slick. I like it more than the Nine Hundred. :)

Probably because it's one of the best cases for air cooling at a very low price.I've seen them for under a hundred,and seen the 1200 pre-advertised at $159.
 
It's an oversized 900...but uglier (I thought that was impossible, until now), it has nice features like decent dust filters, they kept the speed switches from the 900, and it has heaps of room to play with, but Antec need to seriously think about aesthetics as well as function because I sure as heck would not buy a fugly case regardless of how well it looks after the innards, and this is one of those examples of fugly.
 
I have to love it. So many negative posts, but I'm thrilled so many people are talking about it. Aesthetics are personal, subjective. There are plenty of cars I consider fugly, including one that cost ~ $250,000. Well made, fast, quality cars that I wouldn't drive if you gave me one for free. But I wouldn't say a bad thing about them as far as their car attributes. I just don't like how they look.

I have to admit that I don't understand the appeal of the Hundred series. It's good - heck I bought one for myself. I've gone to LAN parties with the company and been utterly amazed at the predominance of the 900 case in one form or another. People came to us with dislikes about the case, and yes, we listened. Filters are definitely number one. External speed controls for the fans. A bigger flatter top tray. All those suggestions are in there. We've even included a dedicated movable tray on which you can easily mount a pump and/or reservoir at the optimum level in your system. The 1200 is big, but it's not hard to imagine a water cooled unit with the pump and reservoir taking 3 bays, 6 hard drives, DVD burner, Blu-Ray, and a Card Reader. There's 12 bays taken right there.

Also, coming soon is the 300! More fixed in its configuration, but with all the filtration and a great space to hide wires. Take out the water cooling and you could easily fit the same 6 HDD, DVD, BluRay, Card Reader system without effort.

So... if you don't like how it looks, insult it. That's a safe thing to do—I've never seen one get upset.

More importantly, what is the release date for this case. I am thinking about getting this and trying some mods on it, but if not, I'll go with the 900. Also if the price for this case is going to be 100 + dollars more expensive, then there is no point for me to buy it when I can get a 900, mod it to be better than the 1200 for a 1/4 of that 100+ price tag.
 
Looks nice IMO. I will be keeping an eye peeled for this case.
 
Screw that 210? Let me find a 900 for sale on some other site... I'll do the mods that this case has for 20 bucks or less, and save 100 dollars.

If the price is 150 or so, I would consider it, but when is it going to release. If it doesn't release soon, I'm going to skip it.

Anyone know, I'm ordering my parts the 1st week of May.
 
Originally, I saw sites that had it for pre-order for late April, but now they have changed to mod-May and June, so I dunno, its a wait and see thing.
